Our Story

Hi there! We are a husband and wife duo running Potts & Petals flower farm (with assistance from 2 wild and crazy german shepherds). We are located on 5.5 acres in Castle Hayne, North Carolina, just 5 minutes from downtown Wilmington.

I, Ashley, have always loved being outdoors and creating things with my hands. Always having a feeling that I was missing something in life, needing to have that creative spark fulfilled, I discovered flower farming. This fed my soul and it quickly became a passion of mine that I wanted to share with others.

Casey, my husband has always had a green-thumb running through his family. His grandfather, being an agronomist for the USDA for 60 years is who he got his passionate connection to growing from.

Being first generation farmers we have a lot to learn. We have no written plan. Just a dream and determination. Be sure to follow along on our journey as with the most up to date information on our Instagram and Facebook page!

We believe every person should be able to experience the feeling that flowers bring. Nothing is too small to celebrate. It remains our goal to provide beautiful, seasonal, and sustainably grown cut flowers to our local community.

The Farm

Our farm is truly a dream come true. After living in California for some time, never really feeling like we were home, we spun the globe and ended up in North Carolina in the beginning of 2020. Always wanting to experience the beach life, we settled on renting a townhome near Carolina Beach while getting to know the Wilmington area.

As we were going to pick up our belongs from the moving company in Castle Hayne, we drove past a piece of property that we fell in love with from a distance. It was the perfect place but the wrong time. Over the course of the year we knew this was where we wanted to place our roots. Becoming more anxious about wanting to own our forever home with acreage attached, we began the search. After browsing house after house this one in particular kept popping up and we would always click it. We decided to go check it out. As we got closer and closer to the area we realized it was the very SAME property we fell in love with such a short time ago.

Our dreams for the farm began flooding in as we drove down the driveway, we put an offer in that night. And here we are now beginning our flower farm journey.

Sitting on 5.5 acres (4 of them for our crazy dogs) we are proud to be producing local, beautiful and sustainably grown flowers as Potts & Petals flower farm. Welcome to our farming journey!
